SampathGajapathy is the Regional Director at Triumph Group Inc. since 2017.Triumph Group designs, engineers, manufactures, repairs and overhauls a broad portfolio of aviation and industrial components, accessories, subassemblies, systems, and aircraft structures.
Prior to this, SampathGajapathy was Director-Technical at AirAsia (India) Ltd (AAI), since 2015. Established in 2013 as a joint venture between Tata Sons Limited, TelestraTradeplacePvt Ltd & AirAsia Berhad, the airline currently operates flights from its current base Bangalore, Delhi and kolkotta to Kochi, Goa, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Guahwati, Imphal, Vizag, Ranchi, Srinagar, Bagdogra with a fleet of nine A320-216/214 aircraft.
His oversight included Sam's asset management, lease negotiations and management, aircraft certifications and compliance, network operations and strategic growth.
He was also the General Manager - Engineering for Go Air; His responsibilities included Technical Services, Planning and Support- New Aircraft Induction, Planning Line Maintenance & Major Maintenance requirements for the A320 fleet with MPD and AD/SB.
Contracts Negotiation and finalization of agreements for long term maintenance with OEM, Vendor and MRO for 'C checks, component support and repair management.
