Shaji Karunakaran is the Chief Engineering Manager of BlueDart Aviation, India’s only scheduled domestic cargo airline and South Asia’s largest, with a fleet of six B757 freighters.He has been with Blue Dart Aviation since the inception of the airline and established the entire engineering setup ensuring smooth operations.
Blue Dart Aviation has in-house capabilities to carryout Major maintenance checks, Line maintenance and limited shop work.
During his over 40 years of aviation career, he worked with National Carrier Indian Airlines and private airlines East-West & Damania before joining Blue Dart Aviation in 1996.Heis a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer and holds a Master’s degree in Air Transport Management.
