Ashish is the Vice-President & Make in India Officer for Airbus India where he is driving Airbus' existing 'Make in India' initiatives and is conceiving new ones across all its three Divisions (Airbus Helicopters, Airbus and Airbus Defence & Space) in order to increase their industrial footprint in India.
Prior to joining Airbus Group, Ashish headed the Tata"Sikorsky joint venture in Hyderabad and was also responsible for Sikorsky's industrialisation and strategic partnership initiatives in India.
Ashish started his career at Dassault Systemes followed by Deloitte Consulting. There, he led multiple business planning and transformation projects focused on lean engineering, supply chain strategy and product development optimization, for Fortune 100 companies.
A truly international professional, Ashish has lived and worked for over a decade in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Ashish is the recipient of the prestigious Maxell award for Excellence in Business Leadership 2016.
Airbus was recently appointed in the governing council and board of Aviation and Aerospace Sector Skill Council(AASSC). Ashish will be Airbus' representative on the board of AASSC.
Ashish holds a Masters Degree in International Business from University of London, Post Graduate Diploma in Business (Mktg.) Management from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune India, a Diploma in Managing for Execution from Cornell University, New York and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagpur, India. He has also attended joint Executive Leadership Program from the Darden School of Business, USA and NUS Singapore.
Apart from his professional commitments, Ashish serves on the advisory board for a not-for-profit organization aimed at helping farmers across the country through fair trade.
He currently lives in the Delhi NCR with his wife and two children and enjoys reading and playing golf whenever he gets time.
