The Aerospace Media Group’s (a STAT Media Initiative) signature Aerospace Defence MRO South Asia Summit is planning yet another Blue-Riband event at its new home – the grand IICC at Yashobhoomi, in New Delhi. Slated for March 26 & 27, 2025, the conference will be co-located with the twin exhibitions – MRO XPO India and Aircrafts Interiors India, all of which would be planned across a much larger floor plate than the earlier editions of MROSA.

Air India and IndiGo have made groundbreaking purchases, setting new records with their orders for around 1000 Airbus and Boeing jetliners. In a historic move, Air India has placed the largest-ever order for 470 aircraft, showcasing its commitment to shaping the future of aviation.   • With over 1,250 aircraft currently on order up till mid-2023 itself, the country is likely to become the third-largest buyer of commercial passenger planes in the world, only after the US and China.
  • The Industry says that this shall create a demand for 200-300 major maintenance checks annually. Replacing ageing aircraft in the fleets of several airlines also creates scope for MRO to meet redelivery contracts.
  • The Ministry of Defence in India (MoD) is actively engaging with the private players for MRO of defence aircrafts. Indigestion in defence manufacturing is gaining ground, with technology transfer from leading OEMs, is an impressive development.
